LoveFilm Puts You In Control with Wiki-style tool

UK DVD rental website LoveFilm is putting you in control, with a recent addition to their classy website.

LoveFilm ‘Biographies’ allows customers to share their knowledge on their favourite actor or director with the entire LoveFilm community.

Much like Wikipedia, customers of the DVD rental giant can write or edit a biography on any actor or director listed in the LoveFilm catalogue. And according to the LoveFilm techies, it’s really easy to do!

To edit or create a biography, simply search for your chosen person using the box at the top right of any page. Then click on their name in the results, and go to their page. Finally hit ‘write a biography’ or ‘change it’, and off you go!

Exclusive To Blockbuster

LAST week we brought you news that Blockbuster had won the rights to rent Son of Rambo exclusively.

This week their list of exclusive rentals has gone supernova, expanding to a massive eight titles!

Generally Blockbuster only has the exclusivity for a few weeks; however it does give them an advantage for anyone who wants fast access to new releases. Blockbuster also claim to buy more copies of new releases than anyone else.

Films that are only available to rent at Blockbuster now include The Eye, Street Kings, Meet the Spartans, Never Back Down and Leatherheads.

Mal Simons from Blockbuster notes that ‘with exclusive titles, our valued Blockbuster members (in-store and online) can see the great films before they're available anywhere else.’

Simons also points out that Blockbuster has got ‘a terrific line-up of online exclusives at the moment and we're sure to have even bigger exclusives going forward. We go the extra mile to secure the A-list titles that our members will enjoy.’
