Narnia Returns!

DVD rental giant Lovefilm is giving customers the chance to win 4 (yes, FOUR!) tickets to the Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian premier at the O2 arena!

Walt Disney and LoveFilm have joined forces to celebrate the release of the highly anticipated ’Prince Caspian’ instalment of the children’s favourite.

Set one year after the events of C. S. Lewis’ The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe the kings and queens of Narnia find themselves back in that faraway fantasy land, and discover that Narnia time has progressed 1300 years!

If you fancy seeing this fantasy flick for free, with four of your friends, visit the LoveFilm website and answer a simple question.

Make sure you are free to travel to the O2 arena (London) on 19th June 2008.

Why Buy Games Goes On A Shopping Spree

LEADING games rental provider Why Buy Games has been on a shopping spree recently, increasing their collection of Blu Ray titles to 274. New titles include In the Battle of Elah, Dragon Wars and Alien Vs Predator.

Why Buy Games is currently the only dedicated games rental website that is offering Blu Ray rentals, which is strange, when you consider that all PS3 owners have the facility to play Blu Ray discs.

LoveFilm’s Blu Ray collection currently stands at a staggering 457, with an additional 240 HD DVD titles.

Blockbuster DVD Rental offers a respectable 360 Blu Ray titles and CinemaParadiso a surprising 400.

However MyMovieStream is yet to turn up to the Blu Ray party.

Get Them Before They’re Gone (Baby, Gone)

THOSE generous people at LoveFilm have really excelled themselves this week, not only launching a fantastic Narnia competition, but also offering free exclusive cinema tickets to preview screenings of Gone Baby, Gone.

In another triumphant team up with Disney, LoveFilm are inviting you (regardless of whether you are a LoveFilm customer, or not) to see Gone Baby, Gone first, and for free!

Gone Baby, Gone is a Ben Affleck film adaptation of the Dennis Lehane novel (by the same title). Starring Casey Affleck and Morgan Freeman, the film tells the story of a private investigator from Boston, who has taken on the case of a missing girl.

Tickets are available for the following venues on 4th June, 6pm: London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow. To get yours, simply print out the PDF file on the LoveFilm website!

Swapgame doubles its games titles for rent overnight

Our favourite games rental service SwapGame – famous for renting games for every console known to man, including the long forgotten GameCube – have struck a deal with a supplier which has seen them double the number of game titles available for rent.

While last month, Swapgame’s total number of games to rent was 3000, today it has leapfrogged to 6000, putting it alongside WhyBuyGames as games rental site boasting the most titles.

In an exclusive interview with Choose DVD Rental, SwapGame founder Marc Day said that the site now includes practically every game title released in the UK, as well as a huge back catalogue of older games for some of the older consoles like the original X-Box.

The rapid rise to games rental mega-site has seen the SwapGame designers forgetting to change some parts of the site which still mention the 3000 total, but this will be rectified soon promises Day.
