What’s That Coming Over the Hill…?

AFTER a website spring clean, a reassessment of online features and a new payment system, online games rental freaks, Games Monster.co.uk has re-launched!

So what’s new on the Games Monster website? Well firstly the site itself has had a freshen up, and is looking very vogue in white, green and grey.

Secondly Games Monster has developed a new payment system, to replace Paypal as the current method of payment.

Thirdly Games Monster is now offering a 10 day free trial to all new customers. Other noteworthy additions include an online events calendar and improved play-list creation software.

LoveFilm Exclusive; Drillbit Taylor Preview Tickets!

THE friendly folk at LoveFilm.com are offering free tickets to the preview screening of the new screw-ball comedy, Drillbit Taylor.

Teaming up with Paramount Pictures, LoveFilm is offering their customers the chance to see the film first, for free, on the 25th March. Unfortunately ticket numbers are limited, so act quickly to get your hands on some!

Screenings are available throughout the UK at Odeon Cinemas, including Liverpool, Sheffield, Southampton and Reading.

MyMovieStream Top Rated!

ONLINE DVD rental people, MyMovieStream.com has been rated the top DVD rental service, by the UK’s leading independent consumer body Which?.

Which? rated the quality of service from eight of the biggest names in DVD rental.

63 people signed up to test the sites for five weeks, marking them on the ease of signing up, number of days it took to receive the first DVD and ease of cancellation, amongst other things.

Out of the eight DVD rental companies tested, including LoveFilm, Tesco and MovieConnect, MyMovieStream scored the highest!

LoveFilm and Tesco both scored notacibly lower than MyMovieStream for frequency of problem DVDs. On average 20% of LoveFilm’s discs had problems playing.

So, it just goes to show that sometimes bigger isn’t better.

LoveFilm Customers Want a Bit of Planet Terror and Stardust

THIS week’s number one most requested film by LoveFilm's DVD rental customers is the zombie thriller Planet Terror.

Following just behind Planet Terror in second place is the magical fairy-tale Stardust. Starring Ian McKellen and directed by Matthew Vaughn, Stardust has only recently been released on DVD.

Other films topping LoveFilm customer's charts this week include Michael Clayton, Elizabeth; The Golden Age, and Saw 4.
