Twilight's Love Triangle Tops Lovefilm Poll
CommentsTWILIGHT fans can rejoice as everyone's favourite vampire-human-werewolf love triangle has been voted greatest movie love triangle ever.
Twilight's second instalment New Moon beat Casablanca to the top spot in the poll carried out by online movie rental service Lovefilm.
The trio of characters Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) are said to have great on-screen chemistry but we're guessing that the fact that Twilight fans are some of the most disturbingly devoted movie fans in the world also gave the film series a leg up to the top of the Lovefilm Poll.
The third instalment of Twilight, Eclipse, has recently been released with fans camping out over night to be among the first to see the latest instalment in the film worlds greatest ever love triangle.
And second place goes to...
Thankfully, the rest of the list is vampire and werewolf-free with a love triangle that really has stood the test of time coming in second place.
Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman and Paul Henreid's Moroccan love triangle with the dramatic backdrop of World War 2, came in second.
In third place was everyone's favourite thirty something unlucky in love singleton Bridget Jones.
Renee Zellweger, Colin Firth and Hugh Grant all take the credit for creating one of the best comedic love triangles in recent history.
Other trios to make it into the top ten included Keira Knightley, Jhonny Depp and Orlando Bloom for the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, Christian Bale, Aaron Eckhart and Maggie Gyllenhaal in The Dark Knight and Kate Winslet, Leonardo DiCaprio and Billy Zane in Titanic.
