WE love it when we can sing the praises of a DVD rental site that communicates really well with their users and, as more sites join social networking sites, that's becoming increasingly easy.
Official DVD rental twitter feeds are much more than somewhere to moan to if your disc hasn't turned up - the best ones also offer their followers the latest movie news, star-studded interviews and competitions.
We've also listed our favourite film and game tweeters - you wouldn't want to be stuck wondering what add to your queue now would you?
Don't forget that we tweet the latest DVD and game rental news, reviews and special offers over at @chooseonline.
DVD Rental and Game Rental sites
1. @Lovefilm
Lovefilm also love twitter. They update often, often with interviews you won't find anywhere else, and reply to queries quickly.
You can also sign up to automatically post the DVDs and games you add to your rental queue on Twitter or Facebook. It sounds like slightly risky business to us but maybe that's just because we don't want the whole world to know just how much we love 'Step Up 2 The Streets'.
Note that none of the 'powered by' Lovefilm sites (e.g. Tesco DVD rental and EasyCinema) have a twitter feed so this is the one to follow if you use any of those sites.
Typical Tweet: Check out photos from our Q&A with Dear John stars @channingtatum and Amanda Seyfried over on our Facebook page: http://cot.ag/9Y5FuS
2. @swapgame
Swapgame rental might not be the most verbose twitterers around but they're definitely one to watch for new game releases and reviews.
Typical Tweet: Just Cause 2 (Xbox 360) Released on 26 Mar... http://bit.ly/95hufP
3. @Blockbuster_UK
That's Blockbuster_UK and not the @Blockbuster feed which according to our calculations is likely to be a much more downbeat read.
Blockbuster DVD rental might be fairly new to this Twitter lark but they're catching up fast and this is a great way to catch up with the latest goings-on on their main site and movie news blog.
Typical Tweet: The Dear John premiere was last night and #Blockbuster have two copies of the book to give away! Retweet and follow us for a chance to win!
4. @Boomeranggames
All of the latest site updates, blog posts and general chitchat from Gemma over at Boomerang rentals.
Typical Tweet: some customer reviews on God Of War 3 have been added... why not have a look in your tea break? http://su.pr/1OxDO7
Honourable Mention: You can be a fan of WhyBuyGames on Facebook.
Queue Inspiration
5. @Orangefilm
Great for film news, competitions and, of course, plugs for Orange Wednesdays.
Typical Tweet: #Film2010 presenter debate is raging over on #OrangeFilmClub. Should it have been @kermode_uncut or @alex_zane instead?http://bit.ly/bfF5oi
6. @empiremagazine
They're the UK's biggest movie magazine don't you know.
Typical Tweet: RELEASE THE STATHAM! #theexpendables
7. @totalfilm
Not the UK's biggest movie magazine but - according to their bio anyway - "the world's bestest". Can't argue with that.
Typical Tweet: Come see a live web-chat with Predators directing man Robert Rodriguez. It's here! Live! Now! http://bit.ly/ar3Yk9
8. @futuremovies
Keep tabs on the latest DVD releases with reviews from this UK-based film site.
Typical Tweet: "The Blind Side is being hailed as Sandra Bullock's Erin Brokovich moment." Out now in cinemas, review on Future Movies http://bit.ly/bPwNz6
9. @thesixthaxis
Great source of gaming news and reviews for (and by) PS3 and XBOX 360 obsessives.
Typical Tweet: On TSA today: Prince of Persia Gameplay Trailer http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2010/04/01/prince-of-persia-gameplay-trailer/
10. @Gibiz
The official feed of gamesindustry.biz this should be your one-stop shop for gaming gossip, opinion and the latest releases.
Typical Tweet:Ubisoft's Just Dance tops 2 million sales http://bit.ly/9gn6oo
