Review of Cine Bazaar DVD Rental
CERTAINLY the first of its kind in the UK, if not in Europe, Cine Bazaar offers Bollywood (and Tollywood, Kollywood and Mollywood) fans a unlimited supply of Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi movies, songs and collections including some excellent cricket titles.
Easy to use
Cine Bazaar has recently undergone a total overhaul since our last review and we are thrilled to see it looking far more professional and easy to use.
This will be of particular use to CineBazaar as Lovefilm continues to bolster its selection of Bollywood titles, which is looking more impressive by the day.
Cine Bazaar's Films now feature cover images, cast lists and the all-important story synopsis.
There are two Cine Bazaar DVD rental packages to choose from, both of which are very reasonably priced, and both of which have increased by one the number of movies you can have out at any one time.
Poor customer service
We doubt there is anywhere else where you can get unlimited Bollywood and asian films for under a tenner a month. It's just a pity we've been receiving some bad reports from Cine Bazaar users recently, all claiming that title turnaround is abysmal and customer service poor.
Our attempts to get Cine Bazaar to respond to the complaints was met with silence.
Portal
Still, the Cine Bazaar site itself is far more than just a rental vehicle, it's a veritable portal of Asian and Bollywood cinema and includes a fantastic latest news section so you can keep abreast of Sanjay Dutt's latest shenanigans!
There are also live exchange rates for the Indian rupee and if the test match is on, you can keep an eye on the live score no matter what page of the Cine Bazaar site you are on!
That's all very well and good, but unless Cine Bazaar improves its customer service, no amount of live cricket scores will make up for a poor rental service.
Cine Bazaar gets two-thumbs up for:
Cine Bazaar's vast range of predominantly South Indian films which you'd be hard pressed to find on any other rental service.
