WE certainly didn't see this coming! CinemaParadiso used to be a wilting flower offering a small range of mostly world-cinema titles.

65,000 movies to rent

Now, with just over 65,000 title available to rent, CinemaParadiso DVD rental is almost managing to creep up on the DVD rental juggernauts Lovefilm and Blockbuster.

You'll still find all the great world cinema titles that CinemaParadiso DVD rental was famous for but, in addition, you now have a huge choice of popular titles too.

In fact, in the coming months Cinema Paradiso DVD rental expect to have every DVD released in the UK. They perhaps haven't yet quite caught up with Lovefilm on that front, but they come close.

What's more their prices are as low - and sometimes even lower - than those two companies and their top-notch customer service easily equals them.

One of the cheapest DVD rental services

CinemaParadiso DVD Rental's pocket friendly prices (they market themselves as the "UK's cheapest online rental specialist") make them one of the best-value DVD rental services, especially when you consider the broad array of both limited and unlimited DVD rental packages.

They're still not as cheap as Lovefilm DVD rental or Blockbuster DVD rental, though.

There are a massive 7 different DVD rental packages available: 3 unlimited and 4 limited.

We are increasingly becoming fans of the limited package model (where you pay less per month, but can only watch a certain number of films) as it becomes obvious that unlimited rentals are - in our busy lives - quite difficult to make the most of.

CinemaParadiso's unique selling point here (which is better than the limited package offers from some other online DVD rental services) is that if you don't watch your allowed quota each month, the remainder are carried over to the next month.

That means you'll get what you paid for even if you're having a busy month or the posties go on strike again.

Cinema Paradiso also offer multiple profiles - there are now five available per household and each one can have its own queue with age restriction, if necessary, to keep younger viewers safe.

Got six friends?

CinemaParadiso DVD rental has just launched a fantastic loyalty scheme too where, if you recommend the service to 6 of your friends and they all go on to sign up, you will get free membership for as long as 6 of your friends remain CinemaParadiso DVD rental customers.

"My girlfriend bought a birthday subscription or something for her colleague once. She liked it so much that she bragged on about it for so long that we decided to get the same. It’s been over a year now and we are still happy with them. We both have our own lists of preferred titles and receive one title from each list. Makes life easier and helps avoid arguments."

"This March marks 3 years since I first signed up for online DVD rentals with Cinemaparadiso. I am telling you, it's the only monthly direct debit I dont regret paying. Once I watched 30 films in one month for the cost of £14.99. You do the math. Its £ 0.49p per per rental. Not to mention that there are no late fees either with these guys. You can keep a DVD for as long as you like but it’s better not to keep them too long. Get them watched and sent back, the more you watch the more you save. "

"As a would be refugee from Amazon (still waiting for LoveFilm aka ScreenSelect to refund the incorrectly deducted payment after I cancelled) I've found CinemaParadiso's 4 disc free trial had a prompt turnaround and the quality of the discs was excellent on quite old releases. I'm waiting to see how easy it is to get new reaeases when I swap to a paid subscription this week. I picked CinemaParadiso from a chance recommendation off a message board."
