With an ever increasing range of titles - rising to just under 2000 at last count - GamesFrenzy boasts that their catalogue of games includes every single Next Gen title. Our investigations reveal that they may well be telling the truth.

While the Gamesfrenzy games rental service is guilty of sometimes falling short on providing games at the top of the queue it still offers a challengeable service against rivals, and in fact they took stead over the accounts of customers at Game Tart and Gamesmonster when those businesses closed.

Fast turnaround of games

The turnaround of Gamesfrenzy titles is noticeably quicker than some others, probably due to them shipping titles six days a week, instead of five.

We wish all rental companies would follow Gamesfrenzy's lead on this!

In our earlier review we lamented the lack of decent game descriptions and no indication of age restrictions, but this has been rectified in their newly redesigned site.

Games descriptions are now pleasingly detailed and the age rating of each game is clearly displayed.

The only thing missing is any sort of rating on titles - whether by users or some form of professional concensus - which would go a long way to helping decide whether a game is worth playing or not.

A-Z listings

Another of our gripes which has now been rectified was the lack of an A-Z listing.

Gamesfrenzy's newly designed site does now include an A-Z, making it much easier to pin-point the games you know you want. It also allows you to search by genre, via a dropdown menu containing 13 popular games categories (up from 9 on their previous site).

Inspirational categories

A new addition that we like is Gamesfrenzy's imaginative 'inspiration' categories which makes choosing a game to rent a lot more fun. The categories include things like 'Scary Stuff!', 'Media Outrage' and 'Tough Enough?'.

If you're going away for a while you can pause your Gamesfrenzy account for between 1 to 3 months, so you don't land up paying for games rental while you're sunning your thumbs and relieving your RSI in Cancun.

Loyalty scheme

With Gamesfrenzy's loyalty points system, where you get 10% of your games rental subscription fees back in the form of points which you can spend on their heavily discounted ex-rental stock, Gamesfrenzy is worth a look for dedicated gamers.
