THE Sun Movie Club is just a rebranded version of the once-great-but-now-rather-poor OutNow.co.uk (formerly MyMovieStream) which means that you will be receiving the exact same controversial service as OutNow customers receive, except with slightly lower prices.

The Sun Movie Club is cheaper than OutNow, Lovefilm and Blockbuster DVD Rental, making it one of the cheapest UK DVD rental companies, however we would urge users to opt for either Lovefilm or Blockbuster Online DVD Rental who offer a consistently better online DVD rental service.

"Near impossible to cancel- no wonder really- nobody in their right mind would stay longer than the free trial. I just hope I can last out the switchboard queue soon before they start charging me"

"Wasn't that bad, got 2 months free. Didn't exactly get the latest titles but what do you expect. Turnaround was decent (they posted on Saturday, many don't). No problem canceling either."

"I joined for the free trial and immediately got DVDs sent out - great value although from 6 discs sent I have had 1 'lost' in post, 1 that refused to play at all and 1 that stopped half way through. Very quick customer service but... is the stock up to the job? Not yet recieved any 'Top titles' from my choices."

"Sun Movie Rentals are appalling - I've had the 15 films at the top of my list for 3 months, and they have NEVER sent them - just stuff from the very bottom of my list that I don't really want. Several of the discs they have sent have been scratched too. Complaints to Customer Service just yield standard responses. It's barely even worth trying the 2-months-free trial, since the whole experience is so frustrating. I've used all of the major rental companies now, and LoveFilm/Tesco are the only ones worth bothering with, now they've bought Amazon."

"I started a two month trial, and still i haven't been able to cancel my account although i have know tried three times. The reason being 70% of the films i rented were unwatchable. I even went and bought another dvd player to prove that it was the dvd's being sent to me!! Don't even think about joining, Tesco are so much better and a lot easier to use."

"Once the free trial is over it is definitely over, having sent 2 dvds back over a week ago I haven't received anything new. Not a good service at all as Lovefilms turnaround is around 2 days! "

"do not use this company as when you cancel your subscription they will deny recieving the last dvds from your rental-it happened to me and several other friends-they are conmen."

"I started a two month free trial - have got 20 dvds in list and two weeks later still no dvds sent out as none in stock! This is the worst firm I have used, Tesco are so much better and easier to use"
